ANGELA'S WORK IN THE COMMUNITY
For over 28 years, Angela has volunteered for Oxnard. She is:
• The grassroots candidate
My neighbors know me from my years of volunteering. From youth sports to family wellness, from downtown revitalization to wetlands restoration, Oxnard is my passion. Together, we can build a bright future. Take my survey or attend my listening sessions.
• Ready to thrive
Like you, I love Oxnard. But sometimes it feels like our government is at a standstill. I’ve tried to cultivate change through volunteering and making suggestions, but I’ve come to realize Oxnard needs new, stronger leadership. As a mother of two, a business owner, and longtime resident, I am ready to see Oxnard thrive.
• Planting seeds for our future
As the chair of the Oxnard Parks Recreation and Community Services Commission and the Downtown Oxnard Improvement Association, we need to envision a brighter future. Whether it's affordable housing or safe beaches, I want to hear your ideas for making Oxnard an idyllic hometown.
Let her know your priorities for District 4. Take her survey below.
MY HOMETOWN STORY
As a child, I moved around the country with my mom to Atlanta, D.C., and Long Island. One day, my mom fell in love with a guy from Oxnard, and we moved again. But in Oxnard, I found my hometown. The sycamores on F Street and the beaches with rolling waves made me feel at home.
I attended Fremont Middle School and graduated a proud “yellow jacket” from Oxnard High School’s original campus. (As one of the last classes to graduate from the old Oxnard High School campus, I am thrilled to see it become Oxnard's newest nature-based park downtown.)
Growing up in downtown Oxnard, my dad runs a third-generation business, American Cleaners. Both he and my mom taught me that everyone is a neighbor. My husband Matt and I also live that ethic. We’ve moved our construction company to downtown and renovated our home in the Historic District. We invite over any neighbor who needs a friend—connecting people is the spirit of my campaign. I am thankful for your vote for Oxnard’s City Council District 4.
